The Yunnan Provincial Key Laboratory of Plant Pathology was approved by the Yunnan Provincial Government in 1993, and was identified by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government as the training base for biodiversity and biotechnology innovation in Yunnan Province in 2001. After nearly 30 years of development, the laboratory research team has carried out a series of scientific research from different levels of genetic diversity, species diversity and habitat diversity, and formed a research and talent training direction featuring biodiversity control of pests. The research achievements have been promoted and applied to hundreds of millions of mu, generating tens of billions of yuan of economic benefits and making significant contributions to national and local socio-economic development.
